Familiar Faces at RGA: Lindsay

Posted on: October 19th, 2022 by Our Team

A nurse practitioner at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Lindsay is passionate about helping her patients and making personal connections. She makes a point to communicate in terms they will understand and gets to know patients beyond their symptoms.

In fact, Lindsay says one of the best parts of working as a nurse practitioner is forming relationships. Having worked at both UW SwedishAmerican Hospital and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, she had met RGA physicians throughout her career and enjoyed interacting with them in the past.

“I was interested in joining the practice because of its reputation in the community,” she shared.

Lindsay’s practice at RGA remains widespread, as she sees patients with conditions ranging from anemia to pancreatitis. She has a particular interest in the role that nutrition plays in digestive issues and wants to pursue in greater depth as her patient base grows at RGA.

The Rockford native grew up with a heart for animals, working at a local veterinary clinic while also caring for her mother, who had multiple sclerosis. She completed nursing classes at both Saint Anthony College of Nursing and the University of Illinois College at Chicago.

Lindsay’s training launched her into a nursing career that brought her to Crusader Clinic for seven years, with the main focus of improving health care for our community’s underserved population.

Lindsay is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercise and spending time with friends and family.
