Endoscopy Center RN/ NO CALL NO HOLIDAYS NO WEEKENDS

We are looking for a Full time Registered Nurse to work in our fast-paced Endoscopy Center. The RN will rotate through multiple areas in the endoscopy center and must be willing to work in a team environment. Shifts are 10 hours each, 3 or 4 days a week. We are open Monday through Friday, this position does not require nights, holidays, and weekends.

Job Duties Include:

1. Reviewing patients’ medical history prior to procedures and some bedside point of care testing (blood sugar, INR, and pregnancy testing)
2. Obtain IV access for medication administration and occasionally access a port-a-cath
3. Assist with transferring patients to and from each area
4. Administer conscious sedation for procedure
5. Monitor patients during procedures
6. Assist with sample collection during procedures
7. Monitor the patient in the recovery room including reviewing discharge instructions

Minimal Requirements:

1. Current certification in Illinois as a Registered Nurse
2. BLS and ACLS certified (if not ACLS certified, will have RN obtain certification after hire)
