Dr. Donald E. Vidican is
clinical associate professor of medicine and director of the Digestive
Disease Unit at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. He
is in private practice at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd. Dr.
Vidican earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of
Medicine, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency at
the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Vidican
completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Vidican is board certified in internal
medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Vidican has served both as Past
President of the Medical Section and Staff President of OSF Saint Anthony
Medical Center. Dr. Vidican is on the active staff at OSF Saint Anthony
Medical Center and SwedishAmerican Hospital.
On a personal side, Dr. Vidican enjoys family
time spent with his wife and two teenage children. He is an advocate of an
active lifestyle. Dr. Vidican enjoys running, biking and walking his dogs.
Dr. Vidican’s special interests include
treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis) and
argon plasma coagulation treatment of polyps and vascular lesions of the
gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Vidican welcomes the challenge and opportunity
to care for patients with gastrointestinal diseases. |
