Dr. John J. DeGuide is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist, and joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd in 2003 . Dr. DeGuide completed his medical school at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, residency in Internal Medicine, and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB in Texas. Prior to moving to Rockford, Dr. DeGuide held the position of chief of the Gastroenterology at Wright-Patterson USAF Medical Center in Ohio. Additionally he was the former co-director of the GI department at Rockford Health System.
Dr. DeGuide is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society
for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and of the American College of Physicians. Dr. DeGuide is on the Executive
Board of the Winnebago County Medical Society. He also is a delegate to the Illinois State Medical Society. Dr. DeGuide is trained in the broad discipline of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
