Dr. William N. Baskin is
clinical professor of medicine and GI Curriculum Director at the University
of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford and is in private practice at
Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd. since 1977. Dr. Baskin earned
his medical degree from the University of Missouri Medical School, Columbia,
Missouri. He completed his internship and residency at the University of
Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri as well as his fellowship in
gastroenterology. Dr. Baskin is on the active staff at Saint Anthony
Medical Center and SwedishAmerican Hospital where he has served as
Nutritional Support Director since 1985.
Dr. Baskin is the recipient of many outstanding teaching awards including:
six Golden Apple Awards, three Student Council Awards for Outstanding
Clinical Instructor, and the Faculty Distinguished Teaching Award, all
through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. Dr.
Baskin is also a member of many medical societies such as the American
Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of
Gastroenterology, American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition,
American Medical Association, American Medical Student Association as well
as local medical organizations.
Dr. Baskin’s special clinical interests include reflux esophagitis,
inflammatory bowel disease, and he has achieved national recognition for the
development of nutritional support enteral access devices and techniques. |
